SAMPLE ANSWER 1

The Golden Compass, Philip Pullman, is the first of a fantastic trilogy that I’ve read recently. It’s a work of fiction deals with a wide range of fanciful topics, such as magic, religion, and mythical beasts.

To be honest, was a pretty difficult read. What initially piqued interest was the possibility that it was a children’s novel following the trope of protecting good guys and foiling bad guys. However, this novel nuances and twists that will only be understood by readers with some experience. Being lifelong student of global faiths, I was fascinated by the author’s ability to find similarities between the theology of this planet and our own.

It mostly caused to consider the past and present of the Catholic Church and my own religious convictions. The author writing is intriguing; he creates a universe out of words that seem to be motivated by a single goal: saving. However, in the end, he has his characters rethink the morality of religion and the forces may wield.

This book was fantastic because had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and because it substituted real-world for those in the story. That had such an impact that I took advantage of the opportunity to some of the places mentioned in the book when I was in England.

SAMPLE ANSWER 2

Being voracious reader, I am a big fan of storybooks. Although I read many stories, one of them is special, and it is worth mentioning.

This story is about poor farmer. One day he comes to know from the locals that there is gold on his farms, and needs to dig a particular area to extract it. Upon hearing this, the poor farmer gets excited, wherever funds he has, he buys a digging machine from that. And he works with determination, and discipline for two months.

However, despite his hard, he didn’t find gold. He gets dejected and, in anger, sells his farm to another person. The new of the farm restarts the digging process, and within half an hour, he manages to find the gold.

This story is written in famous book “Think And Grow Rich ” I read it during my college days. This story teaches us wonderful lesson: our focus should be on our work, not the results. On many occasions, we not achieve our target because our attempts are half-hearted.

The farmer made same mistake. He started with a lot of enthusiasm, but when the result was not visible, he frustration, and he missed the reward. Furthermore, it teaches us to have a central focus on our work success is a journey. Being consistent can lead our lives toward impressive growth trajectory.

I’m gonna talk about novel that I’ve finished reading recently, called shengsipilao, and the English name goes Life and death are wearing me out, which is written by Moan. He’s kind of household name because the Nobel Prize in literature. It’s a chunky book with nearly 6 hundred pages, I’ve read this for about half a month on and off.

It tells a story ranges from 1950 – 2000, the main character is a kind landowner in the agricultural district. At the beginning the story, He is shot because of land Revolution, so his land can be redistributed. When passed away with his hate, he went to the underworld, then his soul is sent back to Earth in body of six different kinds of animals, born in the very same village where he previously with his human intelligence and is able to observe and interact with his former neighbors.

With six generations of reincarnation being donkey, a bull, a pig, a dog and a monkey, gradually he forgot his hate and become a person at last. I thought the novel is so attractive and interesting, of the writer’s brilliant imagination, I mean, how can a person become an animal after he died. Besides, you can regarded it as a Chinese history book, you can see how people lived and how world changed in these 50 years.

The name of book comes from a budda saying, simply means only if you don’t confused about your gain and, you can stop wearing yourself out from born and death. I suppose it’s a profound and interesting.
